Miami tips

Post by isa »

Hey guys, I am in Miami for some time, maybe you could give me little hints about the scene here.
I'm kinda lost, it's been a while (about 5-10 years) that I don't party around here.
I am sure south beach is mainly where to check around but I would appreciate tips from insiders ;)
Thanks!

i live in miami...

proper minimal does not exist here....although we get great talent thanks to some promoters in town...

i am starting a sunday night event @ halo, on lincoln road, miami beach...everything from dark minimal to tech house

as far as clubs...there are not any dedicated minimal techno venues..u just need to follow the promoter essentially...although parkwest does an afterhours with maurizio and denyelino(sci+tec) on saturday mornings...

we get great talent in town...but they never seem to play how they would in europe...everyone loves to play really housey here...but heres the last 2 months of guests....

peace division
cassy
alexi delano
damian lazarus
davide squillace
mark ashken+matt tolfrey
paco osuna
mathew dear
seth troxler
bill patrick
and im forgetting some...this is since september so it gets blurry any further back than that :D

great talent brought in thanks to the guys from SAFE, FUTURE MOB, PLOT, as they are responsible for any good booking in this town

hit me up if u ever want to come out... mchristo86@comcast.net

Hey buddies!
Thanx very much for the tips. I've been told that south beach is too touristic now, and miami peeps are hanging out in downtown.
Any more suggestions?
Thanks again 8)

Hey! Saw it too late man, but thanx anyway! Please keep me posted on cool events. Isn't there something nice around xmas or nye? I am sure there is!

I'm also trying to figure out how that talknightlife forum works but I didn't really find my way around (yet).

Quite simple really. You can either use the Guide or the Forums to find out what events are happening. I posted a link to the Guide, above, for NYE events. Just click on any date on the calendar & it will automatically bring up events.

In the Forums...

http://forum.talknightlife.com/

Just click on 'talk About Nightlife' & then you'll see 'what's happening?' toward the top of the page. Click there & you'll see tons of event postings.
