I had the opportunity to listen to this when I was in Berlin this summer. This CD is SICK!!!! Way better than "closer to the edit". I didn't even get to hear it on 5.1 Surround, heard it's just insane then.

Closer to the Edit is a timeless mix and very inspiring still today.

I would say its what got me into the sounds I love today.
Keepin' the beats deep in the groove bunker

I would agree with this and I wasn't trying to take anything away from "closer to the edit" in my previous post. It still is a timeless and revolutionary piece of work.

But this mix is just incredible. There are a bare minimum 2 samples/loops playing simultaneously throughout the mix, with the max number going up to 9 samples/loops at a time. And as the title goes, the "transitions" are seamless!

The DVD is amazing to watch also. As a sample comes and goes, the artist and track title that the sample is taken from will fade in and out on the screen. So, at some points you can see 9 different track titles and how they fade in and out of each other. Plus the DVD is in 5.1 surround, which is the first musical release of it's kind, I believe.
