hey folks i am half of faction, but where are the technical stuff?
What's your budget? Elektron Machinedrum is a damn good drumcomputer but a little expensive. I think there are Machinedrum users on this forum, better ask them

Obviously the easiest way to get all your drumming needs is to use software such as Reason and link it up via ableton or just play it stand-alone and it has or you can get every piece of sound ever made or made famous by drum machines of the past, present, and probally the future; granted im thinking you may be looking for that distinct analog sound, same reason I started to collect some hardware but have been dissapointed so far at the limitations, although some may call it adding to the creativity by juxtiposing the minimaltivity...not sure yet :/
