Met het daverende succes van de afgelopen edities is de verhuizing van Mono naar de Mazzo beklonken. Op de monominimalafter na Awakenings waren de buitenlandse grootheden ruim vertegenwoordigd. Van Villalobos tot Wighnomy, van Koze tot Luciano, allemaal hebben ze staan rocken tot in de vroege uurtjes. Maar voor kwaliteitsclickhouse hoef je tegenwoordig niet meer de landsgrenzen over. Nederland huist immers een scala aan minimaldeejays, die allemaal een eigen draai geven aan het groeiende genre. Tijd voor een avondje talent van eigen bodem.

Mark Boon heeft zijn eigen avond in het Rotterdamse Bootleg Café. Hij heeft al heel wat jaren achter de decks gediend en dat hoor je. Zijn neiging naar een Berlijnse sound kan zijn oude liefde voor Detroit niet verhullen. Klassieke krakers gaan hand in hand met hedendaagse minimalhouse en geven zijn sets een tijdloos karakter.

Spilly oftewel Harm Rhebergen draait op Duitse leest geschoeide minimale techno. Hij is vooral actief in het Oosten des lands, waar hij menige avond naar een hoger plan tilde met zijn uitstekende mixtechniek en verfijnde smaak. Wie een blik werpt op zijn website www.djspilly.com ziet een waslijst van clubs in binnen- en buitenland waar Harm heeft gestaan. Op naar de Mazzo.

Residents Boris Werner en Aron Friedman behoeven geen introductie. Beiden boeren goed de laatste tijd. Boris stond onlangs nog op de FFWD Parade en Aron op 5daysoff. Maar kenners weten dat zij tijdens Mono op hun best zijn. Home is nou eenmaal where the heart is…

soon it will be www.harmrhebergen.com but that will not be before this weekend...
