Do you cut out intros for your DJ set?

Post by tommy_fretwell »

So say you don't wana take your laptop to a gig, you just wana do a conventional DJ set, do any of you chop the intros of a track out getting straight to the first kick?

Am I being lazy in wanting to do this or is this just normal preparation!? I just find it such a pain in the arse getting to the kick if theres a long intro.

Imho that's what cuepoints are made for, no?
Always think twice.

Yeh but you have to get to the cue point to make the cue point if that makes sense, dont you?

try it both ways and see how the crowd responds

depends on the mood of the crowd

if they want it, make them wait

if their bored, give it to them!
