Hi everybody,
i'm into mnml, techno and deephouse for about 1 year now.
I've been mixing at a friend of mine's set and as i've practiced quite often, I am now willing to start mixing by myself as well.
Before i go and buy something, i thought maybe one of you has some suggestions on what to buy? (budget is 700-800 euros, used gear might be an option)
Dutch minimalistic greetings!
DJ set needed!

I would go for the super oem turntables. They cost 3 hundred euro and run exactly like a 1200, because its an exact replica. Ive had them for 2 years now and have not had any problems.hessemans wrote:yeah that was what i'd been looking for so far,
thanks though
Check out the cytronics.
Mixer? I would advise the Vestax PCV-275.
Are you sure that it's not a Vestax clone like the Stanton or Sync?Celltek wrote:I would go for the super oem turntables. They cost 3 hundred euro and run exactly like a 1200, because its an exact replica. Ive had them for 2 years now and have not had any problems.
Anyhow, they're good direct-drive decks with sufficient torque and stability for back-cueing or scratching. Plus, the extra cash you save can go towards some scratch software or good needles.
It's nice to see that you're not taking the easy way out in DJing, Hessemanns!
Don't be discouraged by these kids with midi controllers. That stuff is a passing fad. Eventually, people will become bored with the button pushers and jog-wheel scratchers.
I'm not talking about people who use Ableton to be more creative in a set, remixing loops, running effects, etc. This new form of live-remixing is a good thing.
Here is a site with all the super eom turntables

They look different but have the same inside so I would advise getting the cheapest one.
