that's a BOSS guitar fx pedal. they make dozens of them and they all look the same (apart from body and paint colours) so it could be any number of things, but since it's stereo i'd guess at delay or phaser/flanger, probably delay since guitar delays do things that DJ delays don't....Johnson wrote:Anyone know what it is for ... saw a few pics of him using it in his set ups.

actually, i can't tell if it's stereo or if i'm just looking at the top and bottom of the cable coming out of it...

there aren't many other guitar fx that you'd actually want to put on a techno record, really. certainly not ones with white paint jobs and blue buttons made by boss, anyway.
