[Zero G Sounds 15] Esquina - First Corner

Post by Zero G Sounds »

ARTIST: Esquina
TITLE: First Corner
FORMAT: 12" Vinyl + Digital
CAT: 0G015
RELEASE: 18-06-2008

Not quite newcomers to Zero G, Esquina is a collaboration between Late Season and Eddie O. Together, they're going deep, using massive bass and swinging grooves to hypnotize your primary motor cortex for a lot bit of ass-wiggling. “First Corner” is a dark, brooding affair, slowly revealing itself as pockets of dubbed synth peek between aquatic bass and staggered percussion. Agnès straps it on to a Saturn V aimed at a disco on the moon and the result is a rolling bass groover that’s dripping house and swirling atmosphere. Ruoho Ruotsi takes it to the Pacific and drills it deep into the sea floor with blistering feedback loops and heavy bass. Finally, Late Season delivers a straight ahead syncopated tech-house bomb for the true minimal heads.
