if someone asked you what minimal music was, how would you explain it to them?

just tell them it's techno or electronic dance music...

Yeah...I just tell people EDM or Electronic Dance Music...because that's what I play really...no single genre. And some indie stuff here and there. Using indie as a very very broad term.

no no, the point of this tread was for me to get an idea on how you guys describe it to yourself... what minimal music is, to you… The person you’re explaining it to is theoretical...

Like, how do you define it…

for example, minimal music is music with an emphases on space.

I’m just curious to how you guys view minimal.

for me its always been mind and body. it has a heady, sophisticated edge which feeds your brain, but its moody and funky for your bottom half. to me this music has always been the best of both techno and house.
