Bach appreciation thread

Post by New Guy »

I love Bach, possibly one of my (if not most) favorite classical music composers.
His music takes me in a dimension in which no other music has managed to take me, callms me down so much, it's mezmerising.

Glenn Gould playing Bach is just mindblowing.

Anyone with me on this one?

I always wanted to play Bach on my guitar too, but it was too hard for me need to practice more.

if you ask me for the best musician ever i would definitely say bach!
we all (in western music) use the tempered scales he found, and it is one of the more prolific musicians ever!

I don't like Bach; and I don't like classical music in general. Whenever I hear that stuff, and even when it sounds good, it just makes me wanna drop some naughty beats!

Dunno, I just don't get along with anything high culture...

Ligeti had some nice tunes, but that isn't really classic.

So, well, no appreciation from me.

I don't like Bach either. I don't really like anything from the Baroque period... too stiff.
