but you really cant just shoot someone in the leg,
the reason they had to shoot him in the head was because if he had any kind of explosives on him at the time, he could have detinated it, say if he got shot in the leg, he falls down and boom he can let it go,,,in the chest ,boom,, maybe they would have hit the explosives themselves,

but what happens when it endangers the many lives of innocent civilians jesse? dosent that mean enough for a police officer to shoot to kill?

id rather take teh risks of 50 people getting blown up than the state killing one innocent man by mistake. it might suck a lot for the 50 dead and their community, but it sucks worse for everyone to have the states might fire at will.

ive long heard cops are trained to shoot to kill, not maim, and emptying the clip guarantees that more than not.

poor guy, all he wanted was a better life

Following on from the beginning comments, I too thought he could have been shot in the leg

And why run from Police if youve only jumped a train fare ?

pd:
when USA started to make a different type of revision to the Brazilians when they get in the u.s., they started to do the same thing in the airports of brazil to the ppl of the U.S.

paranoid is everybody, USA, europe, but not here in south america. think about that.

This of course is not an excuse for what happened with that brazilian guy, but
US & EU being paranoid is quite a normal reaction, they way things have turned out.

I guess that guy did the wrong thing at the wrong place in the wrong time.

The leaked report says Mr de Menezes entered the station at a normal walking pace and picked up a copy of a free newspaper.

He was seen to slowly descend the escalators before running for a train and sitting down.
