It's an exciting time at Atypical Farm. After many months of hard work and effort and having put out 5 very successful digital releases, with great support from some of the top DJs in the business, such as 2000 And One, Xpansul, Dan Curtin, Someone Else, Gregor Tresher, Akufen, Davide Squillace, Mark Broom, Matt Tolfrey, Frankie, Matt Star, Tadeo, among others, Atypical Farm finally release their first vinyl EP.
Freshness and originality are the two main elements present on this vinyl debut. On the A side, a Glasgow resident who's had recent success with releases on Mezzotinto, and also the digital “Crackerjack” on Atypical Farm; Gary Beck gives us “Tammo Chanter”. This track is full of energy as it blends techno, ultra groovy house and a devastating bassline with tribal chants and sounds reminiscent of ancient rituals and shamans in some lost area of the world. A hypnotic, mental, and straight to the floor bomb. On the B side, the very young and talented Italian producer Ilario Alicante (Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice or Dubfire are playing his stuff) , who recently made his debut on Italian powerhouse Tenax alongside Alex Neri; delivers the “happier” side of the EP with “I Like To Serve”, a track that seems to have two ping pong balls as the protagonist, along with a devilishly contagious rhythm and vocals that round things up nicely. Definitely will not go unnoticed.
