Soundcards from these laptop performers?

I'm just curious do any of the artists/DJ's we speak of on these boards
alter their laptop's soundcard? I hardly go out anymore, but it just seems to me and stock soundcard from a laptop can't produce really good sound from an 1/8" output jack.

Am I wrong, do most artists just go directly out from the little jack on their laptops? Or do they go out from USB?
