Now this maybe bollox, but i was told that the macbook pro's are too powerful to run music. Something to do with the graphics card? Is this a load of old rubbish? should i just go for the macbook?

and what are you asking ? is the processor too powerful - is the graphics card too powerful??

- making music, you're obviously not going to demand much from the video card....

im no expert but sounds like the person who told you this either knows WAAAAAY more than me or is in the dark

Thats don't make sense. Maybe they mean there is not much in them when you compare the spec of each machine other then the graphics card, so you could save some money if your only using it for music, cause you won't need the more powerful card if just using a sequencer on it.
