Already one month into the year 2008, Chicago’s Billy Dalessandro is in prime form to yet again increase his net worth in the techno community. Since first making his voice heard on Force Tracks back in 2002, Dalessandro has continued upping the ante with an aural onslaught of EPs, LPs, and remixes that manage to stay fresh and relevant with little noticeable effort. Following a two-month European tour and a recent two-week stint in Brazil, Billy’s calendar has been filling up at an unprecedented rate as word of his top caliber live sets spreads.
With a couple of successful releases for his own Siteholder Records already under his belt in the label’s short history, Dalessandro throws us a left hook followed by a right counter with his debut for UnCut, “The Big Blue EP.” Culminated from a combination of older works seeing commercial release for the very first time, as well as a few recently completed productions, “The Big Blue” is a treat for all fans of modern house and techno.
