so, I saw bits and pieces of it at the Live workshop given by robert henke at mutek in montreal... I think it's not a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge upgrade (like Live 4 was by adding midi for example), but it seems to add tons of little useful features + a few new fx!

it's an improvement for the "ableton" dj's out there with the mp3 feature
think i'll buy it

yeah, and there's a analysis function which (from what I understood) will allow people to compute the bpm (and other things) automatically, so you won't have to spend hours putting markers everywhere...

i have slowly been migrating toward producing with this program more and more and this is just the icing on the cake, the arpeggiator.....look out.

live5 beta is out...until they get 500 users at least.

i got in and its sick. granted, it has already completely crashed my
computer but i really good time until that happened.

i look forward to hearing a large amount of minimal tracks with
an arpegiator in the near future.
