Correct,

I just purchesed the boxed update and have it now installed on my Powerbook.
(I downloaded Live 5 from their web-site and the box is being shipped to me in a few days).
Now I'm trying out the new features, and hope to be able to use them on a gig on the 30st in Amsterdam...

Version 5 is absolutely excellent. I wrote my next Traum 12" with it. I don't think I will be using Fruity Loops again for some time ;) It's way way more fun to play with things in Ableton and the sound is just stellar when you treat it right.

I upgraded last nite...and was swindled into buying operator.

No other program comes close to what live is doing.

I really loved version 4, but version 5 is even better...

The new features rock, for example the beat repeat device

I do almost everything in Live..

anyone using live5 with a hardware synth/effect setup? I'm wondering if I'm going to switch from logic/cubase, and use live as my only daw. has they introduced destructive editing and such functions yet? I'm doing all my (midi)sequencing on a hardware sequencer (mpc), so I will mainly be working with audio tracks - is it worth it?

the reason why I want to switch is because I'm dead tired of steinberg and their _slow_ programs. and I've had alot of issues with logic, which used to be my main daw, once.

EDIT: I'm aware of that you can use an external editor for destructive editing, but does that work smoothly? (and I don't have the $ to buy any external editor so I'll have to settle for the free audacity one)
