fabric - mayer and akufen

not actually seen either of these play before, so i'm really looking forward to it. mr mayer has been nice enough to sort me guest list, and i'm dropping some records in to get my buddy geoff white to play. should be a top night.

Is Akufen doing a live PA, or a DJ set? Am not too keen on his PA's, they're great to start but a bit of a headf*ck after half an hour, but I heard a mix by him and it was sweet.
As for Mayer, can be a bit soft and vocal, but he is a quality guy!

doesnt say whether its live or not. but i did think that akufen live could bust your brain if it was a long one. he's dope, so i'll be quite happy to see him though.

saw Akufen late 2003 in notts (UK) .... rocked would LOVE to see him again.

Not heard it myself, and although t/l is not rammed full of brand spanking new stuff heard his new fabric mix is more than well worth a listen

I dont know if were talking about the same Fabric cd. The Michael Mayer Fabric # 11 or 13 or something? If so, then yeah, i didnt like it at all. I just didnt care for the track selection at all.

Ive caught his dj set a few times when he was in town and it was sooooo awesome.
