Computer Music Magazine have made a guide to minimal house.

It's ok, some interesting stuff.

You could get many of those tutorial articles from Computer Music here as PDF files:

http://www.computermusic.co.uk/page/com ... orial_pdfs

It's really not OK to distribute copyrighted material without the permission of the originators, and CM is nice to put out their tutorials on the web, so either wait or email them asking them to put the tutorial online.

As for tutorials, they are good in the early beginning, but my problem with such tutorials is that those reading them might use them as templates, and no wonder everything sounds the same today. So learn the basics from such tutorials and when you know that, do something very different.

You might also want to purchase Logic + PSP Vintage Warmer + Sonic Maximizer -- seems they use that recipe quite a lot :-). There are similar tools out there, though, and it's not a necessity to use them, even if I really like Vintage Warmer myself -- makes digital stuff sound less harsh.
