divided by 4 hours =
$41.66 per minute x 20 minutes = $833.33
so prolly more like a half hour to pay for a new one.. lol
but it's odviously not about the money. if someone stole hendrix's guitar, i'm sure he could have afford a new one too.
this mixer is a pivotal piece, and a working prototype with much sentimental value, i'm sure.
the people who stole it will have to wait 100 years before they can sell it, and even then they'd probably still get lynched. how dumb.
Or they could just give it back to Richie and cash in the reward.532nm wrote:$10,000PsyTox wrote:now hawtin will have to go and live of food stamps for a month or two because he needs to buy a new mixer!

adding mods to a a&h 62 seems fairly simple. nothing so custom it can't be replicated easily. they just added midi to control two laptops without a mouse from what it looks like, maybe added sends/returns if it didnt have them already. his dad's a electrical engineer and built it for him using the midibox.org/ucapps hardware, so really he's not out much. sentimental value of course & time spent building a new one. now if it was his custom rig he used for the plastikman show at mutek, thats a different story. that thing was a complete custom job probably took a half year or more to assemble/build. either way its a shitty thing to do to anyone.
