5.1 sound!

I'm working on a new project for an upcoming release and need to do a poll to get more of a feedback from "out there."

No I don't have a 5.1 whatever but would like to have one!

5.1 whatever... lol...

dont have it... hope to get one soon... even if I dont have one.. I would (still) love to have (another) reason to go get one...

i don't have 5.1
seems i still don't need it on my PC (don't playing games, watching movies)
my DVD player plays only on classic stereo amplifier, i like movies in simple stereo.

but in producing, 5.1 sound seems promising to me. i can imagine sounds circling around me in 360° angle. very very interesting idea!

i say this whole 5.1 is very interesting, so please make that project a reality!
im very very interested in hearing one of your sick trips in 5.1!
the only 5.1 music cd i heard was de9 and it was neat, not that fantastic but it was definitly scratching the surface of 5.1 techno.

It is of course the future of Techno fo sho! Just think of the possibilities for rhythm and funk with elements zipping round you with variant velocities...I can't wait

I'm a bit disapointed to see there's a lot of people who don't seem to realise how trippy music can become in 5.1. I honestly can attest that after spending a full day in studio sculpting sounds that are moving around like a flying cat on LSD, any regular stereo techno now sound very boring.

The project is time consuming and is extremely expensive as well. Not sure if it's worth to do a full LP but I'm really considering.

Just consider than going to most movie theaters is a 5.1 experience where sound is moving around you. I find the experience to be much more interesting with techno in a small environment.
