Inxec's fourth EP on Contexterrior -- colourful, energetic, and psychedelic techno for the floor.

• The most accomplished release yet from the U.K.'s Chris Sylvester, whose other productions as B-Pole and Sound Alliance have appeared on labels Four:Twenty, Renaissance, and Leftroom.

• Recent Inxec remixes have appeared on Esperanza, Immigrant, and Sounderground.

• Past DJ support from Magda, Digweed, Francois K., Carl Cox, Pan-Pot, Sven VT, and Jay Haze.

Chris Sylvester AKA Inxec is a fresh but important figure on the Contexterrior roster, with three key EPs since 2006, pushing the envelope to an unforeseen degree in the professional techno game. The title track here is a frenetic monster with more color than so many other gray techno workouts, providing a peak-time track with Inxec at his freakiest. Following with the deep, shuffley “Magnifi”, the EP continues with “K on Fusion”, permeated with distorted vocal lines ("I wonder if the horses feel like this…”) and paranoid melodies. But don't worry about our equine friends: they won't be blasted with this deranged techno after they've ingested their tranquilizers (nor will they have consumed copious amounts of liquor). Finally, “Pidge” brings the tempo back up with a long runway of screeching airplane jets and acid melodies, providing a crescendo that closes the EP with maximum energy. Attentive club-goers worldwide already know Sylvester’s productions through a variety of DJs -- underground and mainstream. Although Inxec may not be a household name (yet), this promising release is sure to increase his profile into 2008 and beyond.
