• A funky, floor-moving house track with subversive vocal stylings from friend and collaborator JonJon.

• Three diverse reworkings from Jay Haze (Contexterrior, Kitty-Yo, Kindisch), Jona (Resopal, Get Physical, Toys for Boys, Fumakilla), and Rhadoo (a:rpia:r).

• Download the radio edit: Take Away (192kbps mp3)

• Featured on André Galluzzi's recent Cocoon Ibiza Summer Mix CD, plus DJ support from Ricardo Villalobos, Sebo K, Jeff Samuel, Ryan Elliott, Kate Simko, and others.

One of the core Tuning Spork family members, Michal Ho will be stuck to your turntables and filling your floors very soon with his forthcoming album Screw the Coffeemaker. Described by the man himself as "a tour of possible states", it's a techno LP with no filler, one that's blissfully free of downtempo interludes or long beatless intro tracks rescued from the recycle bin to make up the numbers. In the meantime, to whet your appetite we bring Michal's "Take Away" featuring JonJon, plus a trio of hot remixes from some serious house and techno names who are sure to pique your interest, and let you squeeze some extra drops of juice out of the summer. We've got more nationalities and styles on this one than you see at the Eurovision, however with less feigned cultural unity and no bizarre ethnic ballads. Check this one out for a 12” where you'll play all four tracks, the way it should be. From all at Tuning Spork, we hope you enjoy this, and stay tuned for Screw the Coffeemaker and more hot records coming very soon.

A1. Original
One of the finest tracks from the forthcoming album, "Take Away" features a quirky bassline keeping the track hopping as JonJon's reverberating vocals slot into a mix of tight and funky organ chords and psychedelic percussion, making this an expertly produced piece of house music with all the colour of pop.

A2. Rhadoo remix
Romanian rising star Rhadoo has been causing a huge buzz this summer with his unreleased remix of St Germain's "Rose Rouge" and a deep and epic techno cut on a:rpia:r, putting Romanian dance music on the map. (Before, it was only on the Romanian part of the map.) Here he works Michal's original into a dry and funky house music tool, with just a slice of JonJon's vocal over pounding bass and a sliver of melody. This track builds some serious tension and mixes with just about anything, keeping peoples heads down in the clubs with its deep organic pulse.

B1. Jona remix
Jona has already made a huge name for himself with releases on Resopal, Toys For Boys, Fumakilla, and Get Physical. Now the Belgian friend of Tuning Spork crafts a more melodic techno version of Ho's track, with arpeggios and deep twisted acidic tones. Yes, that's right, this is the unhinged side of Jona we've been hearing lately, and it's going to blow clubs away at peaktime.

B2. Jay Haze remix
Label boss Jay Haze needs no introduction here, as big a Michal Ho fan as anyone, even those in Michal's special kids fan club (where you get a free lunchbox). Jay's version is a deeper and more dubby cut than the others, with loose percussion and JonJon's vocal reduced to a simple, repeating "yeah". There's even a little Basic Channel element about this one, dropping into inky blackness before a sharp snare gets the track (and the floor) moving once again.

great remix package, every mix has its moment. the rhadoo mix is a great tool, and the jona mix is the real biz, for the house heads the original and the haze mix will blow them away, i am soo into this label right now!
