On the topic of MIDI controllers, check out the new Allen & Heath Xone3D, which was on display at MusikMesse:

Damn!
This might be the perfect machine for my live setup!
Do you think they would take back my 92?

Re: modular midi controller
Yes, but according to http://createdigitalmusic.com/index.php pretty expensive - 700$ for backplane, and up to 180$ for modules...
Like that xone:3d though... But I don't see classic A&H filters there... Maybe it'll be on final product...
But what are those two big dials or dics or whatever things used for?
Re: modular midi controller
i think that section is for controlling ableton live, because you can see the live logo there. really nice if this is the case._concept_ wrote:Yes, but according to http://createdigitalmusic.com/index.php pretty expensive - 700$ for backplane, and up to 180$ for modules...

I heard those green live panels were just cardboard overlays used in the display. I was wondering if those were jog dials (rotate around) which can be pressed at the top, bottom, left, and right, or if they're rocker buttons that just let people push them. Either way, they seem a bit much to me...vip32 wrote: i think that section is for controlling ableton live, because you can see the live logo there. really nice if this is the case.
