A lot of people hate on it, but I use the Fast Track Pro and it works great for my application. I am only using it to run my monitors and midi keyboard, so I can't tell you about the mic pre's.

firewire 410 Is a great Buy for the price you get a lot of quality. i own one i used with ableton and serato. Now i use it on the studio my advice buy it.
