clubs in athens?

I am in athens right now, about to head to the islands for some shows but dont know much about the scene here in athens and for the most part, cant find much help, could someone recommend some clubs?

when i visited (dec 05) it seemed like the lifespans of the clubs was short. best would be to go to the local record stores and ask there. the nightlife seemed to be centered around gazi and monastiraki and there were posters everywhere for what was going on, which was mostly (bad) house music.

be sure to go to the acropolis, but buy your ticket at hte agoras to see all the ruins for hte same price. an awesome day trip is to tkae a bus out to the temple of poseidon.

How bad is hte air this time of year?

air isnt bad, i have been to greece many tims before, but never really interested in the nightlife in athens until this visit. Mostly just playing on the islands...

unfortunately i didn't see this earlier...

from 22 to 24 of july, Synch festival was taking place in Athens with
a quite versatile line-up, i'm sure that would be the best event to attend.

Loop, as forementioned, is another good destination, located in Asomaton
Square in the area of Thisio (Monastiraki tube). Luv is in the same square,
but closed during the summer.

On a Sunday afternoon you should visit Dekko, in Agios Kosmas beach in
Glyfada area. International guests like Beyer, Carola, Holden, C.R.Jones etc
on the line-up every week.

Best thing you could do though is to go to Piraeus port and head to Mykonos island.
Cavo Paradiso is a world famous club there, perfect location, mostly housey
line-ups though (with a few exceptions, i.e. Ricardo's playing there this week).
Paradise is another club located close to Cavo, in the Paradise camping area
(Kalamopodi beach), with good line-ups as well, including weekdays.
