Ableton + reason rewire

I've been trying to rewire Reason into Ableton.
I Followed several walkthroughs but Ableton doesn't seem to find Reason when want to choose the input.

Reason does start up in slave mode

Any ideas?

Which versions are you using?
Are you starting Live before Reason?

I've runned Reason as a Rewire slave to Ableton lots of times.
Never had any problems and I've done this with several different setups, computers etc.

did you connect the reason devices thru the hardware interface or thru its audio mixer.

I use Ableton 6.0.1 and Reason 3.0(Build 541)

I start Ableton first
And i dont understand plasters question :p

Anyways, I just open Reason, load a Redrum thingie make it play...I hear nothing...go back to Ableton--> audio track --> I/O but no Reason to be seen in Ableton

you need to delete reason's mixer and plug the devices onto the hardware interface, that's probably the reason ableton doesn't detect anything.
