I have some audio samples and when I put an effect on them, for instance a reverb, nothing happens.
Except when I make the sample ridiculously loud and put the reverb on 100% wet I hear some very silent reverb.
Same with delays.
I don't get what I'm doing wrong here.
Maybe the problem is that the samples are made by rendering to disk?
Anyone who can help me out?

Well the problem is deeper than that since it IS playing back but at reduced levels. In general I would
A) Make sure it plays back with no effex
B) try using different effects seperatly, is this just happening with one effect or all of them
C) Check effect settings, maybe your just overjacking something
D) Try sending the clean channel signal to an effect send with the desired effect on it, is there a difference?
E) Check levels on ALL machines. Most VSTs have seperate volume control as well.
I hope any of this is of use to you.
