So i had a bit of a break from electronic music, then moved to Berlin and inevitabley ended up getting back into it.
I started off DJing, when i was 17 and at the same time producing. I had a few gigs, and then i went travelling moved country, and lost all my contacts.
Ive finally made a new mix and really want to get back into playing out again but feel overwhealmed in Berlin. Everybodys a DJ, if i was back in my small town with 1 or two techno nights its much easier to get to know people.
Any advice on people on how to get yourself on the ladder?
Im thinking i might be better working towards getting some releases out and use that as a stepping stone.

and try to sound cliche as much possible...people get crazy bout it.
Drop the idea of becoming someone else, because you are already a masterpiece.

Unfortunately, releases are pretty much the only way to get a real name for yourself - especially in Berlin and other big cities flooded with djs. Unless you're the most fantastic dj ever, of course ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
