Ableton Help!

Post by pitiku_noroios »

OK..here`s the fact: My ableton keeps crashing every time i try to render a track, at different stages of the rendering process. I drives me crazy! Has anyone ever encountered this? Is there a cure?:P

what is the cpu peak when playing the track?
ram/cpu on your machine?
i suggest not using "render to disk"
record the master to another audio track instead

- open a new audio track
- select "audio from master" on this track
- arm the track for recording
- play your tune
- note the name of the recorded track
- go to your project folder an open this track in your audio editor (if you want to master or convert in mp3)

done!

seriously, what are the advantage of recording this way? I don't think I have any of these issues when using render to disk.

4am and I did an A/B comparison about this, together last year.

4am was skeptikal too, (do you remeber?) so we took a couple of clips and made a loop out of it, one time record and one time render to disk, the difference was there.
We both could hear it.

I have no time now to post files, and in 2 days I'm going one month doing cheese in the swiss alps with no electricity so I'll be offline one whole month, if someone could post a A/B file would be great.
