I do. I use it on a daily basis, not exclusively though. But there are many projects which I've worked solely with Reason on. For instance, the EP I did for Tropic is made with Reason.
It depends on what I want to do. Of course it wont fit everyone's needs. But I've found it to be a very creative tool.
And yes, they've updated the sequencer.

rebirth and reason are what got me started making techno. haha its come a long way since 1.0.
this upgrade looks cool, id agree the sequencer really needed some improvements. the regroove thing looks fun, looking forward to automating some shuffling madness. and possibilites for that synth look endless.
i use reason all the time, its the easiest way for me for bringing sound ideas to fruition since its what im used to. like any software it goes deeper and deeper the more you use it. im always learning new ways to mangle sounds even after all these years. ill often rewire it into ableton, record some loops and stuff and then rearrange live afterwards.

uhuu. delicious.
I often use it as a rewire in cubase and i use it mostly because it's Malström synth which i find very powerfull and suitable for tweaking.manzatour wrote:how many of you use this software for real production?
i'm just curious...
Not even Hänsel is what Gretel used to be.

i like reasons subtractor and i actually like the sequencer some. There are some nice tricks you can do with it.
My favorite thing about reason is that there isn't loose interpretation of cc's. So you can build square wave type modulation in the sequence editor on your filters. I've unable to successfully reproduce this with vst's in live.
