Changing BPM in seperate channels (Ableton)

Post by Zinthek »

Is it possible to change the bpm throughout a track in just one channel in Ableton?
So that, for instance, one channel slows down while the rest remains the same speed.

mmm... Not sure what you are looking for but you could try some resampling. I hope you know ableton some but here is an idea.

1. resample the main track.
2. set that up in a channel and mute what recorded that one.
3. Set this sample up so it doesn't have to warp, and its a one shot. This makes it so the track isn't affected by the projects bpm.
4. Now for the track you want to mess with the bpm. Create another track to resample this one. Set it only to record the track or have the track output into the this one.
5. hit play and record into the resample track. in this track do your resampling business and adjust your pitch and sh!t.

Now you have some stuff that is resampled and played in varied tempos.

good luck.
