Post by bobimpotent »

im using compressors and i set up equalizer manualy and still receice nothing.. nothing means poor quality mp3 file which sounds like track from 60s or 70s

im starting to doubt with fl power,eh ... i was trying to change softwere to ableton recently but it looks cosmic after 5 years in fruity loops.. i have over 30 demos and none cant be finished becouse of mastering.. now im stuck, i dont know what to do further, eh

You should let someone else master your tunes, and only worry about writing them...

eq-ing + waves (bundle :)) )while producing) + wavelab at the end. equivalent for every sequencer :)
Not even Hänsel is what Gretel used to be.

mastering is not a "magic" tool. if you ain't got a good mix from the beginning you can't master it good...

you want to get the main mix right before doing anything on the master buss.

Read this:

My take on your cut is that your bass is muddy in parts sounds like its in stereo... mono that sh!t and you need to pull up the highs in the mix.

At least try some other stuff there are really no rules on how you pull a mixdown.

you have to make it sound like it's mastered even before you master it.

meaning you have have to have a really nice mix first. make sure your instrument volumes are loud enough and all balanced.

export to 32bit wav's in fl, not mp3. master with a stereo editor like wavelab or audacity. use a plugin suite to do the mastering.

JUST MAKE SURE THE KIK ISN'T TOO KNOCKY AND MAKE SURE YOU DON'T HAVE A BUNCH OF CLUTTER IN THE 200-800...THE REST CAN BE FIXED WITH GOOD EQING AND SOME GOOD MASTERING PLUGINS.
