vinyl or cd ?

Post by Renton »

Over the last years more and more DJ's seem to have changed from spinning with vinyl into spinning with CD's.

Advantages are clear ofcourse; less weight, being able to easily carry around more music and playing tracks early, before maybe even getting a vinyl-release. But somehow this just doesn't do it for me, I just love the touch of vinyl, a little bit of dust under the needle or some little scratches that can be heard because the record's been used.

I have been thinking about buying my dance-releases on CD, or payed downloading that would probably be then, but I just can't do it, vinyl just feels so much better to me! :!:

No cd's for me, it don't "suits" me, it's to plastic.
I have bought FS 2.0, so I can edit records and remix them.

Drop the idea of becoming someone else, because you are already a masterpiece.

I love my vinyl. But I am not opposed to using CDs or various other media to mix in with vinyl.

Anything and everything for me - starting with vinyl, I'll add anything to create a unique set, cds, FS, whatever...

I love records, but so much cool stuff never makes it to vinyl or sometimes it gets to be so rare that it would cost a mint to own a copy of it on vinyl. With stuff like that I am all for other mediums. I have traktor and I would love to have a copy of FS 2.0 or a sweet cd turntable thing.

Also, last time I checked it's no fun when you restrict it. :D

I love my vinyls too, but have realised that they won't last forever... So I have started playing a bit of CD's too, mainly stuff that I get sent to my label.... (and friends productions too)
