It's partially premiere... premiere is a sick joke.

i just bought a powerbook g4, it has 1.67mhz of processor, and so far ive had no problems running any live programs,, also used reason on it a fair bit, and nothing seems to be going on there, the 5400 rpm sometimes scares me for playback reasons, but if your that scared hook up an external firewire hardrive and there ya go. my next test is to upgrade to about 1.5 ghz of ram (from 512) and see how logic can handle on this.

hahaha...yes it is.
we do all of our editing on either a g4 powerbook or a dual g5..but
we use fcp. the g4 handles really intensive operations pretty well
(ie: color correcting 45 secs of uncompressed 4:4:2 720p)
but it comes nowhere close to the g5..as expected.

g4 powerbook

Post by thedunes »

I just bought a 12" g4 powerbook and I'm really diggin it. Runs live 4.0 like a dream and all of my USB controllers have instantaneous responsivness which is more than I can say for the older toshiba PC I was working on for a while.
