When asked by Endemol to be a housemate on this year's celebrity Big Brother to represent the dance kids, Gurtz sent in his reply through a minimal club rinse-out, which apparently is going to be played when the winner exits the house. Here’s what the producer’s received:
Galoop's highly meticulous detail is underpinned by a tech-house groove and nagging warm analogue bleeps which roughly translate to 'I'd rather eat my own sh!t than hang out with a load of racialist noncers'. Innit.
Doppel is a highly refined peak time club groover - twisted, hypnotic, with a huge drop and baseline that will tear apart the discerning club. It also can be interpreted as saying that ‘If I wanted my face all over the News of the World, I would start shagging a footballer or something more dignified than sharing a toilet with Jade Goodie’
Dah is a wigged out k track of the highest order, shuffling and bleeping in all the right places, exemplifying Gurtz experimental leanings without forgetting the dancefloor. It also subliminally defies Russel Brand to wear a pair of baggy jeans.
Mark-Henning’s remix of Doppel takes the original and overlays one of his trademark dark, late night techno grooves that with repeated listening will reveal Mark’s less than savoury fascination with aging crack whore, Davina McCall.
That’s it folks, remember – Big Brother may be a short route to fame, but spending your teens and early adult life in clubs, taking drugs, dancing and making amazing techno might one day get you a modest house, a nice mid-sized car and a lovely sexy person to play with whenever you want forever and ever and ever.
