[Quagmire001] Ion Ludwig - Blood Source EP

Post by ion ludwig »

Quagmire

Darkness and mystery come together in the ‘foggy and fairytale’ sound of Quagmire. The label releases minimal music characterizing a detailed, complex and storytelling sound. The intellectual side of minimal music always persued, creating a balance between listening and dancing music in a own perception.

Expect a wide variety in soundstyles on Quagmire records. Every single track will be orginal and no remixes can be found. Progression in the labelsound is one of the main goals to be achieved.

The artwork is based on modern forms. Covers show detailed and complex drawings. The vinyls are pieces of art and will be released in limited amounts.

The roots of Quagmire and his front man Ion Ludwig are leading back to the wet, green and foggy grounds in the eastern countryside of Holland. Since summer 2006 is Berlin and its surrounding wetlands Quagmire’s homebase.

On the very first Blood Source EP, Ion Ludwig wades through his self discovered Quagmire.

Q of Munich fills the logo (A) side of this release. All concept idea’s of Quagmire are cought in this piece of music. Dancefloor and home listening. Electronic and akustic. Percussions keep building while stringinstruments tell you a never ending story of melancholy.

Concave Haldon needs the full lenght of the logo side to explain itself. After a few minutes of seeing it’s silhouette it runs away from you to breakdown again and tell you the story of his life. Once you know his real nature it develops into a ‘Peaktimemonster’ with musical ambitions. Blood is dripping out of your ears and you will ask yourself: What's the Source of this?
