Mixer

Post by Rochey »

I am in the market for a new mixer. I think I'm going to get Allen & Heath xone but what I was wondering was;

a) which one should I go for does the 92 warrent the extra £300 or would the 62 surfice
b) is there any other mixer I may have overlooked (except the pioneer)

I only use 2 turntables & cycloops @ the moment I will be looking to add serato or final scratch which ever of those I choose to get. So midi controls etc are not important. I don't think

I would wait to after Namm 2007 coming up in a few weeks http://www.thenammshow.com/ to decide on a mixer.

Stanton got some new stuff coming with FS3 after they broke of from NI.
M-audio are bringing out some new stuff. NI are doing some new stuff with Traktor. Rane probably got some new stuff with Serato. You never know.

I use the Xone 62 with Serato Scratch Live and really like the combo.
If you can afford a 92, then it's always worth the money, but if you're tight for cash then the 62 is a fantastic mixer that you'll be able to combine vinyl, SSL and yr cycloops with. :D
