how to record audio from video thats playing on the pc

Is there any software that records audio from a video that's running on you're pc,like youtube.com for instance?

total recorder will let you record streaming audio (tr is cheap and worth the buy if you record a lot of streaming audio). but that is through windows media player or real player so i am not sure about youtube. you can also set sound forge (or wavelab or cooledit i assume) to record what is going through the soundcard. so do that and play the video and it may work.

i have had trouble trying to record dvd audio this way so i am not sure if it will work or not. to record dvds i generally run rca from a dvd player into my sound card. of course none of this last paragraph helps you at all.

if you run wavelab or soundforge..just arm the record button and record.

i think you have to select the correct source though. by default it would be your mic or line in. i think you will need to select wave out or stereo out maybe. it all depends on your soundcard.

I use adobe audition for record voices from movies etc...
but there is always some noise at the background :?

it's a "typical" problem with movie extracts because of the atmosphere textures used. try applying filters on the vocals. it helps getting rid of the background noise.
