Silly Question about controlling Ableton live

Hi there
I have an easy question about controlling Ableton live with a UC33 MIDI controller:
How can i view clips WITHOUT launching them and without using the mouse?

I´ve had that working before, but i did so much in my options that it doesnt work anymore. What checkboxes in the options menu are ON/OFF? Where is the trick?

You all know - its an easy problem, but it was taking many hours of searching with no sucess.
Please help me !!!

not sure if i understand your problem. how can you view your clips without launching them?

yes thats the question, must be very easy, i need that for DJing with live. i want to switch between the tracks/clips, to view the waves (and check lenght, pauses, etc.) So i can see them in the session view and quantisize, loop, etc with my midi buttons, but they always launch, when i press the button - thats what i dont want.
Its very easy but i dont get it

dont you just double click on the clip youve droppen into the channel (but not o the play button?)

yes, you both understoud the question right. Thats how its done with a mouse, but it must be able to do without using fucking mouse, but with my UC33 buttons, or a keyboard or sth.
?
I feel a bit awkward to ask about such a easy thing...

to get some clearness: I use live for RemixDJing, and so its useful to see the clips i play, and the clips i want to play. Its annoying to see only one at a time, so i need to switch fast between them. Thats why buttons are better (and it also looks better at a gig

)

unbelieveable noone uses this option - any UC33 users can send me .als file of course...

It seems that u have to go through some surreal Bidule setup or stuff like that...´
don't know rly, though.
