Since '85 he was mainly influenced by early hip-hop tracks. Until around '93/94 when he first had contact to early breakbeat/jungle-tracks, he never got in contact with electronic music that really convinced him. But to him this fresh new music seemed just like the perfect progression from hip-hop, so Daniel Fritschi started dj'ing in '95, fully focussed at jungle and drum&bass. After a few years he got more and more bored by the lack of further interesting drum&bass releases, just when he discovered detroit electro and techno. Soon cologne minimal and techno from berlin cought his attention... He was one of the founders of EGO-club in Duesseldorf/Germany, which received a lot of attention for the double-CD 'Live sets at EGO 1998-2000'.

Daniel Fritschi started his record label Level Records in 2004 and had his debut-appearance on the Level 1 Quartett 12".
With the Level 2 Intonation, he released his first full 12" EP in 2005 and a contribution to the Señales on the mexican netlabel Cyanrecs followed. In April 2006 he released one track on the london based Sushitech - 02 Hake lavasu, plus a remix-contribution for the Oliver Hacke Remix on the 6th release on Level Records. Forthcoming is his 2nd EP on Level Records.
