more greets from canada

Post by flamtriplet »

hey all;
i live on vancouver island on canada's west coast where there really is
no scene for this kind of music :(

so i really rely on sites like this to get my fix (and what a 'goldmine' this site is!! 8) )

i heard 'plastikman' 'closer' 2 years ago and it changed my life for the better-
that's why i'm here now.

peace.

Do yourself a favor and start with the first Plastikman release and work forward. You'll appreciate his stuff more that way, understanding where it's come from...

Nice history - similar kind of thing happened to me. I was always into pure techno, much more of the detroit sound. I heard Hawtin's "Decks, EFX and 909" and loved it, then I heard "DE:9" and that was it - my life was changed!!! That put me on the minimal road, and I never left since...

The minimal scene in the UK is pathetic, so I know how you feel. Sites like this are my only chance to develope and explore my tastes in music. You'll enjoy it here mate; I certainly do.

Welcome aboard!!!
