unfortunately, some of the tracks are not too far away from Beatport charts, isnt like old times with Perlon when it was the serious avant garde sht

7 x12"s only for 3-4 tracks that i like isnt a good business for me

My choices: Daniel Bell, Sammy Dee and Pantytec, maybe Soulphiction too

only the matt john track seems like it could be a 'hit' to me. the rest is pretty underground, no? haven't heard the tracks in full though

in my opinion it has nothing to do with underground or not

the tracks are all very well produced, hear it on a proper sound system and you will be blown away

heard matt john playing in a club recently and every single track sounded like an epiphany

you dont get that with your regular beatport charts, but to be fair this has less to do with beatport than with the artists ..

would have to hear them in full length, but not doing much for me... as usual with perlon, i doubt anyone would give this stuff that much hype if it wasn't on perlon. It's all well made and all, but I have a funny feeling this is for the fanboys who will play it, show it poudly to the other fanboys to boast, and then disappear in the record case for a few years until it's time to sell on discogs.
Bit like that last album with ten records by Aphex Twin: bought all ten, didn't like it at all (because it was crap) and sold it to some dumbass on Discogs for 6 times what i paid. Strange world.
