Look, I'm a major Audion fan but this remix is pretty awful.

Here's my recent thoughts:
-Kisses...dope
-The Pong...a little noisy but cool
-Just Fucking...nah
-Suckfish...yeah okay kinda...
----I'm thinking...man this does sound kind of like half-assed acid music
(New era emerges)
-Just A Man/Woman...Wow, really smooth textural drum tracks. All about it.
-Mouth to Mouth...good the first 800 times I heard it. Still a classic but sick of it.
-I Gave You Away...hated at first, then I understood it. Simply amazing.
-Noiser/Hot Air...great bombs for the club. Enjoyed throughly
-Didn't I? Remix...huge summer hit. loved it.
-I'm a Man remix...fucking great for Sunday afternoons
-Do it Again remix...not bad, good for under the sun.
-Bar 25 remix...what the fck?

somewhere in the process the new false album came out. Fed on Youth was great, Stomach/Anklebitters was cool despite shitty mastering, and I also liked Dollar Down. Aside from that that, it was a boring album. And then there was Asa Breed. Aside from one or two awesome tracks, I'll take my Factory Records back catalog instead...stuff that accomplished the same idea about 30 years earlier.

a-side is great, and i agree with everything said here about matt john.

like most, i'm still not sure about the remix. matthew dear has been really reliable in the past, but I don't think he's really slipping yet, despite a couple missteps. i just hope he doesn't get caught up in his asa breed style and starts to move away from false and audion [asa breed was great, but his greatest releases are not under his own name].

Exactly my thoughts. I don't like this remix (and some of his other tracks) at all, but that does nothing to my opinion about him in general, he's definitly capable of making great stuff and his next one could just as well be a huge bomb again.
