how can i make my tracks sound better/louder/clearer?!?!?

ok my mnml sluts, i got a few tracks that i thought were done....sounds just fine in the mixdown....but after i render the track is real low, sound is muddy....what program can i use to crisp up the track?!?......any help is more then appreciated..

if you use ableton live, forget about rendering to disk, it makes the things sound dull, resample instead and compare the results...

how can i resample a song thats been layed out?!?!?

after i am sure my mix is good (atleast according to my amature ears) then i use waves L2 and one of the presets, hot & pumpy or hot & crunchy are cool, there is also 24-bit stereo master.
