Beside the sound, that is pretty warm, there's one special thing that you cant have with a laps+pads : the really special groove of the MPC sequencer.

Yes. And due to the fact that D to A is very common (all CD and DVD players have them) D to A is a commodity. A to D is another story and so are pre-amps. The MPC is 16 bit right?s.k. wrote: Have you ever heard of DA convertors? let alone that the MPC3000 has a preamplifier.
