villalobos and sven were both total disasters. they red-lined and clipped out the system the entire time, making it sound like complete sh!t. they also both trainwrecked constantly and basically embarrassed themselves by playing insanely mediocre sh!t.

overall, i found the fest to be entirely lacking in all avenues. most of the time all five stages had miserable music on it, and there was a lot of soundclashing between the stages if you stood in certain spots. oh, and the beatport stage is totally ruined now by turning it the 90 degrees so its parallel to the main stage. terrible idea.

also...the festival is now filled with tons and tons of 15 year olds that have zero idea what's going on, have no respect for anyone or anything, and can't handle their drugs.

i see what you mean now by redlining and clipping. nothing more annoying. strange for ricardo usually he is the EQ master. maybe he did it on purpose;)

did anyone go to the boat party thing he was playing....

i had a listen in live to the festival. liked sammy dee's set and boo williams vs glenn underground.

I'm not sure it was Ricardo's fault. The system wasn't tuned right and they fiddled with it incessantly during his set.

i find it hard to believe that margaret dygas played a set that sounded pristine on the exact same system for two hours immediately before ricardo, and as soon as ricardo went on it all went to sh!t.

that sounds like dj error to me, not sound guy error.

maybe if ricardo would quit prancing around on stage, having conversations with everyone around him, and actually put more effort in to beatmatching and watching levels, it wouldn't have been a total debacle.
