I'm in love with fixed band graphic EQs for shaping sounds. Especially those oldschool Klark Teknik 30 band monsters are absolutely amazing to use on bassdrums. Those are much faster to operate than parametric EQs in that regard and if it's a good quality one that doesn't fck around with the phase you can do pretty harsh things in a very good way. Pity i couldn't yet find anything that comes close to those in the virtual world.
Always think twice.

i like those fixed EQ's.

i think waves do a good one. my mate uses it but i can't remember what bundle it was in.
