yeah daft punk cleared those samples, possibly paid money to the artists for them also, so its a different thing entirely.
i think the deceptive part was that they didn't list them on the thanks and instead put "all music by daft punk" or something.
about the sampling of this though....
its really clear that its just a straight lift and they should have asked for permission of some sort.
i think its different from the amen thing a bit because people did more than just sample the amen break and speed it up and lay some sh!t music over it. they made a totally new type of music. but legally they are probably the same thing, right?
