from DJ mag site

"A staggering 123,933 dance music fans voted in DJmag's 2005 Top 100 DJs poll.

That's 33,000 more than last year and a true indication that dance music is still a massive global phenomenon.

The truly global reach of DJ culture was once again highlighted with votes coming in from 147 different countries.

The USA provided the most votes in 2005, closely followed by the UK, and then Germany.

There are interviews with all 100 of the DJs that made it into the poll in DJmag's special collector's edition of the magazine. Out Now. "

so actually, we get to blame the americans again

I think it is extremely irresponsible of DJ Mag to actually conduct such a poll in the first place. Such behaviour will surely only further misguide the already over-misguided into a void of misguidance.

The list doesn't matter.

It's numbers based. Percentages of a single mass. It amounts to just percentages of people who like certain artists the most.

I voted anyhow, but does it matter? No. I still love who I love :D

I couldn't care less as to how many people like the same artists that I like.
It's just a list. Doesn't matter what anyone thinks of it. You either participated or you did not. It will never represent anyone's individual preferences. Just averages of many individual preferences et al. That is how lists and polls like these are.
